Today I helped my Math teacher in his Math 200 class. This class is composed of 10th grader that are not particularly good in math. My mission is to assist and help them with one on one explanations. My goal is to see an improvement and an increase of interest in the subject and hopefully an increase in the grade average of the student. At first the students were a bit reserved when I offered my help, but eventually they understood that I was here to help them and that they could ask me anything.

During the first half of the class the students had a small test. I had to make sure everything was going alright during the test and watch out for any kind of cheating. It was an interesting experiment as I was used to be in their position and not in the supervisor's. After that they worked on geometry until the end of class.

We continued working on geometry. The teacher gave on the board problems to do. I went around the class and tried to explain what to do to anyone who needed help. If I was not there the teacher would not have the time to give this one on one explaination to every students. And I think the students have realized that it is an advantage.
