This was a group activity. Ten words were chosen at random and noted on a piece of paper. We each had 15 minutes to create a small story using these ten words. The only restriction was that each sentence had to make sense. When the time elapsed, we each shared our story to the rest of the group. Finally, the best story was voted out. Each student had two votes and the winner was Andrea.

In my second creative writing lesson, another activity was given to us. We were given three possible titles . One of them had to be chosen and then we had 20 minutes to create a story from our imagination that relate back to the title chosen. We then had to read our creation to the rest of the group.

Today, we had to make descriptions through a character's point of view. We had to describe a camp site in the shoes of an experienced camper, a reluctant child and an enthusiastic city dweller. It was not that simple, but what I really liked is when each one had to share his work to the rest of the group.

Today we learnt how to write a slam. After a brainstorming session on respect, our task was to write a slam based on respect. We then had to prepare ourselves to perform. I had never done this before and I found it to be quite fun.

We did a writing through emotion workshop. We had to create a poem describing an emotion. We had to find a color, a happening, a sound and a smell for this emotion and write it as a descriptive poem. It was nice because even if you were bad had writing poems, this strict model made it easier to create one that was acceptable.

Today's writing skill was to describe a fruit of your choice through all our senses, taste, sight, touch, smell and sound, and of course we could not mention the name of the fruit. We then had to read it to the class and the others had to guess what fruit was described. My fruit was the pineapple and it was quickly found. I found smell and sound to be the toughest senses to describe a fruit.

Our task today was to describe an old man in a wheel chair at a nursing home through the point of view of a teenager, a daughter and a nurse. I found the task challenging because I had never been to a nursing home and did not really know how to describe it. However at the end I managed to write a small description for each character.
